After spending 20 years working at nonprofits on behalf of incarcerated individuals and their rights, Deborah (she/her) decided to form her own firm in 2019. Previously, she worked as the Director of the DC Prisoners Project of the Washington Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights and Urban Affairs, and as the national FOIA attorney at the Human Rights Defense Center.
In addition to her law practice, Deborah currently serves on the board of The Second Look Project. She has also served as an adjunct professor at Georgetown University Law Center and the University of Virginia.
She is a graduate of the University of Michigan Law School and Penn State University.
Deb lives in NE DC with her wife and two children.
