Hi Deb,

I received notification in the (snail) mail today from the DCRB regarding their processing the portion of my mother's benefit policy that I am to receive ... it seems on September 1, 2021 (labeled "Advice Date"). This notice has been scanned and is attached. If I had not sought an attorney's services and been fortunate enough to find you, I seriously doubt that I would have received any substantive response from the DCRB for months to come. You were kind enough to consider my plight when I contacted you even though you had recently undergone surgery. I am so appreciative for your initial willingness to take my call and listen. You really heard me. It remains a source of some frustration that I was never afforded any reason by the DCRB for their delays.  I know the delay was not mere oversight because they wrote me in January, 2021, acknowledging the outstanding matter, and promised me an update within 60 days and resoltion within 90 days ... none of which ever came.  I kept calling and writing them: to no avail.  It got to the point that even placing a call to the DCRB was stressful for me because - with an hour long wait time - it would take significant time out of my day and I would only come away with feedback such as, "We have no further information for you."  Simple requests for a supervisor to call me back were never ever honored.  At this juncture I realize that I will just have to live with the many frustrating experiences which I had with the DCRB as one of life's curious unresolved mysteries ... likely never to be revealed to me. Such is life. Some doors remain locked and never open.  Nevertheless, I am singing your praises today. I can now move on, thanks to you. Thank you, thank you, thank you!  From the bottom of my heart Attorney Deborah Golden: Thank you!  Thank you very much!

Sincerely,
C. Stephens
